Hide a forum without disabling posting?
In the new forum I'm building, I'd like to create a hidden forum which can't be seen in any normal listings (outside of the Admin CP), but which can be accessed by going directly to the board via a link. I've thought about writing a custom plugin to do this, but I'm not sure where I would start. Does anyone have any advice about this?

You have to edit the forum permissions such that it is only visible to the usergroups you want. Then just give the forum link and even others can access it but it will not be visible to them by default .

if you change the permissions for each group when making the forum/ category you can hide the forum/ category from who you want to hide it from

disable permissions for visitors so to access subjet they will have to subscribe "forum ---> option ---> permission"

and you make a strict permission to that forum.
