To be frank,it is horrible.just no offence.
you gave an attempt to make a custom theme which is appreciable.
but this theme is not!!!!
you have a domain called toontown which may be related to some sort of carotons??
The color of theme is yuck!!!!! not at all appealing,
The thread icons are no match...
please use some theme here available,i recommend HABBO for your gaming theme.....
or just remake the colors and icons.
plzz dont get depressed, but as this is your first theme,i really hope you can make a promising one.
I had a really hard time following as I scrolled down the page. To add to the above posters, when you do change the colors (please try something a little more... muted), try to make it so the category headers are not blending in so much with the background. If people who use the software a lot have trouble viewing it, you can be sure that a lot of members would as well.
Maybe start with a "safer" custom theme until you are comfortable with the process.
Thanks for the awards ratings.
I have a technique.
I use GIMP btw.
1. You make a 100x100 image
2. Make a round rectangle then shrink selection by 2
3. Take a darker color for foreground, and a lighter color background. Make sure they are shades and tints of the same color.
4. Use the blend tool- Bottom to top to make the dark fade to light (going up)
5. New Layer
6. Grow selection by 1
7. Select a color darker the the dark color from before
8. Bucket fill
9. Lower Layer
10.Add the text, add a black fuzzy outline if letters need to be bold
3. DONE!
I'm working on a theme set.
The theme set is called the 'Clean Themes'
and every color rhymes (or close enough) is the name of the theme.
