I think hating Justin Bieber is more of a trend thing. Justin Bieber is not my type of musician, nor do I like most of his songs, but he honestly doesn't bother me and I think he's a good role model for kids (eg: running anti-bullying campaigns, donating to charity, supporting world peace through some of his songs) compared to Miley Cyrus who definitely can not sing who actually deserved some of the criticism she received for being too raunchy and encouraging her fans to do the same.
Justin Bieber can sing and he actually has a pretty good voice, in a video on youtube (not one of his autotuned, edited songs) it shows him at home with his guitar singing a song naturally. Considering he's only a young teen, he has actually a good vocal control and can play instruments (which is rare for most pop musicians these days). Recently he went through puberty so his voice is also changing, I never personally thought there was anything wrong with his voice until I saw it mentioned on every youtube video comment.
There are a lot worse musicians than Justin Bieber, such as Rihanna, whose songs sound nice when edited, but cannot sing for pennies on a live show without lip syncing.

It's called disgusting American Teen culture, I don't fit into this culture but I think it is the cause of people's infatuation with Justin Bieber.

I think people's infatuation with him has a some sort of impact on how people view him. People are more so annoyed with him being everywhere, but I don't think anyone really "hates"--especially because of many of those who say they "hate" him have never met him.
