Hi

I would like to know if there is a mod or a way to automate a change in time zone based on the city or location the user enters?

well actually I was looking for the same time zone modification when I registered here. But during registration, due to an online chat with a buddy, I forgot to find out the way. Now that would be a great assistance if somebody can shed more light on this topic.

The user can change it themselves, If they dont they are lazy . I would like to see this however, Built into mybb 1.8 in future

I am sure it is possible, there are mods showing country flags based on your ip address, maybe you can have a look at those..

I don't think there is gonna be 1.8, it goes straight to 2.0

It's rather frustrating if something so simple is not incorporated in the sw already
I mean all the necessary data is there

there is no automated plugin so far. the only way is to make users select the right time zone while registering.
