Converting Plugins
Is it possible to convert plugins from other forum software to MyBB 1.4x?

Look for compatiabity and it will say
"14*"
change it to
"16*"
however this may not work

Yeah, what ccalby said. Some plugins will immediately be compatible, some may have to be tweaked a bit (if you know how to)

I think the OP is asking if plugins from other software (phpbb,vb,smf...) can be ported to mybb.
In short...yes. But it has to be rewritten to work with mybb, and you may need permission from the original author, depending on the licence.
