Ah yes, one of my own site has this. It works by adding two stylesheets which changes the background color, or other parts of it, while Javascript is used to switch between the two css sheets. I've modded my scripts to be able to switch between 5 colors depending on the button you click.

I'll dig out the script and files for you guys tomorrow.
