Software MyBB Bridge List
by Mikers
This currently lists
- 3 Softwares that can be bridged with MyBB
- 2 Modules that can be used to bridge softwares
- 1 Tutorial that can be followed to bridge MyBB with another software
There is another software bridge on the way that I'll list when it's released.
Well, as everyone knows...MyBB is, of course just a forum software (an awesome software, but a forum software still). And I often hear a lot of people asking for various bridges with various softwares for MyBB. And I've looked over a lot for MyBB bridges, and found a lot of neat ones. So I thought it might come in handy for you guys if I gave you a list of software that you can bridge MyBB with (as well as a list of ways to bridge with).
Enjoy.
(Note, softwares are listed in alphabetical order)
Drupal

Drupal is an excellent CMS, and almost as customizable as Joomla or Wordpress (though not quite ). Beyond that, not much I can say about it, though if you don't like Joomla's Administration System, you may not like Drupal's either.

- [Tutorial] Integrating Your Site With MyBB (Advanced)
This tutorial's not too bad, so long as you can understand the jist of it. I tested it with Drupal, and it SORTA helps to bridge the two. I'm not sure if it works with Wordpress as he listed (if someone can confirm this for me, I'd be very obliged)
Joomla!

Probably THE most customizable CMS in all the internet. There are quite a few people who claim Joomla to be difficult to understand, but the Administration is actually very simple...just different than what you're used to. After a day of messing around, you'll probably understand just about every part of it. Has hundreds of thousands of plugins/themes and a strong community behind it.

- JFusion
The guys who created JFusion were absolutely brilliant. JFusion doesn't just bridge MyBB, you can set it to bridge all users of softwares it supports together! Or just a few or anywhere in between. JFusion supports MyBB, phpBB, vBulletin, Magneto, SMF, Moodle, and Gallery 2 with several other softwares on the way. I use it myself, and it's incredible.
For a tutorial on how to use JFusion to bridge the two softwares, please see this topic.

Wordpress

I think it's much more suited to a blogging software, but the many plugins out there can form it to be a great CMS. It's simple to use and very snazzy/awesome. To tell the truth though, without plugins which would use a decent user database...a bridge isn't truly necessary.

- WordBB
It's unfortunate that the only bridge I know of for Wordpress is outdated. I've yet to try it, but from all the recent comments I've seen, WordBB is outdated and very unlikely to work on your forum. If you still wanna try, be my guest. But of course, make absolute certain to back up your forum's/wordpress' files/databases.
I'm always on the lookout for software bridges. If you know of any for MyBB (that aren't listed here), please post here and let me know. Not because I want to bridge the software myself, but just 'cause I like to horde information. But really, I'd be very obliged.
I hope this list will help you guys.
