4 Top myBB Forum features and how to use them
Actually they are five, I made a mistake making it four.
With myBB, you can extend your board's flexibility by enhancing your forums settings. You can do many cool things including this:
-Set a Forum Password.Very Useful for a separate forum for Mods and Admins to talk about the Forum and to avoid external access.
-Keep the Forum Rules.Different Forums can have their own unique rules. Each set of rules is displayed above the threads to catch the visitor's attention.Avoid users posting trashy stuff.
-Forum Theme.Do you want to keep a different style for your each forum? You can! Suppose you have an IT Forum. You can have this section's separate theme! Like Having a computer logo ! It is not necessary that each section's style will be inherited to the primary theme!
-Redirecting to any other site or folder! It's very easy for you to redirect a visitor to any other place if he/she clicks on any particular section. For Example you can create a section named "Google" and you can even redirect it to Google!
-Set whether the posts in a forum will increase the post count of a user. This is also very cool.In your Introduction section, people may post messages like "Hey! Welcome!" and just leave it till their. It may help them to increase their post when they post in everyone's Hello thread. You can stop this and let them post but they wont see their post count increase!
These features makes myBB, vBulletin's younger Bro!

How to have these on my Forums?

All can be done in the Forum Permission's section.Go to Admin CP>>Forums and Post>>Click on any forum you'd like to edit.Click Edit Settings and there you are!

-Set a Forum Password. In the Additional Forum Options part, you may see a heading "Forum Password", you can simply keep a password of that Forum from there.
-Keep the Forum Rules. In the Additional Forum Options part, you may see "Forum Rules".Type in your Rules there!
-Forum Theme. In the Additional Forum Options part, you may see "Style Options".From there, you can chose the theme(which has been already installed) for any particular forum.
-Redirecting to any other site or folder! In the Additional Forum Options part, the first thing will be this.It will be named "Forum Link".Just type in any URL!
-Set whether the posts in a forum will increase the post count of a user.Alright, in the Additional Forum Options, you may see a heading at the most bottom "Miscellaneous Options".There you will checkboxes.Untick this one "Yes, posts in this forum should count towards user post counts".

Did you like these features?
