I'll keep it short and simple:
-It's a simple platform to use to setup a community. No hassle at all.
-Mods, well... there are tons of em.
-There is a large community willing to help you.
-The UI is great. Nothing beats it, imo.

I love it because of it's simplicity and I don't just mean because of how easy it is to add plugins. It's feature rich and very easy to use.

There are really not that many good flawless themes for MyBB that are almost perfect. Even this theme has it's bad points, and this is good. That is the downside, and the fact the MyBB Mods database is not very sophisticated, but this is outrun by the performance of it. I like how the lang files are so simple. For example, I can open them all in Notepad++ and find/replace "MyBB" for the site name, so things like errors will say "Sitename.com has experienced an error" or something, creating a professional look. The file system is so simple in general! You can't beat it.

i used phpbb and installing mods were a pain so obviously my favorite thing about mybb is the ez mod installs!
