MyBB is just so much better than any other free forum systems - phpBB is clunky, SMF is ugly, BBPress is dead, WebWiz is featureless... it's easy to mod and install plugins on, it's easy to edit themes, it's a pleasure to administer with and above all the community is really friendly. I even prefer it to vBulletin.

The best thing is it's different - I must admit I groan when I come across another default-themed phpBB forum, but MyBB forums are a pleasure to use and look at.

First , it's free , and you don't have to crack everything like you do for vBulletin Boards..
Second , you can add in some good type of templates and icons for the forums.
And it have some features most forums don't have.

I got into myBB when I joined HF, which is owned by the same owner of mybbcentral, though I didn't like the fact that I had to subscribe to get alot of the cool things.

I love MyBB for the following reasons;

• It's easy to customize
• It's light and doesn't take up a lot of resources
• Modifications are easy to install
• Creating themes is easy with very minimal html/css knowledge
• More secure then most open source forums out there
• It has a great default theme with similar features to that of vbulletin

Overall, I really like MyBB more than other forum softwares like phpbb, smf, and fluxbb.
