Windows 7 and MS

I've been using the Windows 7 beta since long and must admit I'm thoroughly impressed with the OS. The look is better, its faster, lighter on the resources and works out of the box. The updates are now easier to install, the UAC is less annoying and even from Vista, I feel it is a giant leap forward (in a good way).

So the question I want to ask you guys is, has Windows 7 changed your perception of Microsoft from a company that got too careless and made buggy software to a company that's listening to its users and getting back on track making quality software? I know I'm in the latter group!

I only just want Microsoft to take their time on things they make. Windows Vista and Windows ME sucked because they were rushed.

@cscomputing :
lol... I had a horrible time with Vista. It used to work but all of sudden would shut me out of my own PC ! Windows 7 just feels so much better.

@Dalton:
Most of the programs I tried worked with 7. Those that didn't worked when the compatibility mode was used.

Windows 7 is what Vista should've been. But I'm still glad. Better late than never!

The RC is a bit buggy on my notebook as well. For eg., it takes ages and ages to shutdown. The hibernation always causes a crash. But it works flawlessly on my desktop. I'm using the build 7100. Planning to install 7600.

Which build is the RTM?

I've been meaning try it out. I'll probably just wait a little before I go ahead and purchase it. I'm using Vista on my laptop and I'm pretty content on it.
