Hello everyone,

I'm new to MyBB. I wanted to ask this question on the official forums as well but thought of asking it here first since this is a dedicated mod site.
My installation is still a fresh, virgin one. Although MyBB has mostly everything out of the box, there must be some features that you guys can't live without.

I saw a similar favourite plugins thread but that was not the question I wanted to ask. I wanted to know, which are the most essential plugins for MyBB 1.4.x which you install on every single installation of MyBB. Also, which are the features in the stock install that you disable right away and your reasons for that.

I know this discussion will be highly subjective but I still want some opinion from those who are experienced with the script.

Does anyone know which plugin they use on the MyBB forums for the announcements in the forum header? I can spot the News Bar plugin by phenomenon. But what about the other two blue and green announcement bars?

The most essential plugins for MyBB 1.4.x which I install on every single installation of MyBB is php conditional. And disable html for user.

Thanks faviouz! Thanks a ton... so that means I'll have to manually update the templates each time I wish to update the messages and only the admin can update those announcements? Still searching for a plugin... but in the meantime will implement the solution you pointed out to.
