Alexa is based on the amount of traffic your site receives.

Is it possible to have a higher Alexa Rank but a lower Google PR then other site which has a higher Google PR?

For example:

Site A:
Alexa: 100,000
GPR: 7

Site B:
Alexa: 200,000
GPR: 8

From the example above, Site A has a higher Alexa Rank then Site B. But Site A has a lower Google PR then Site B.

Google PR, because it considers global traffic and pages pointing to your website and has a complex forumala, where as alexa mostly considers number of users having alexa toolbar and accessing your page .. please correct me if what i wrote is not correct!

alexa is far more important to me, my sites get a lot of traffic but have too many links - low PR

For me Google PR is more important. My site receives ~300 unique visits/day so I`ll never rank good in Alexa. ( statistics from : websiteoutlook.com )

Well it seems that your site receives much more visitors and they view more pages at your site. BTW do you advertise at any PTC site?

nah.. i haven't kept any advertisement... i am planning to keep but should get good advertiser... anyone in mind??
