Short portal annnouncement
hi!
i want to request a plugin that make short the portal announcement to a certain number of words, images or videos and in the end a button that say's read more, and when a user click that button go to the thread in forum.
that's all, i will be very thankful i someone can make this plugin

i think it waits for appoving after that you can get it from http://mybbtuts.com/tutorials/.

did u see "// You can edit this line too " comment? edit ....... part of that line for exp:
change this
$announcement['message'] = substr($announcement['message'], 0, 85)."......"; // You can edit this line too
to this
$announcement['message'] = substr($announcement['message'], 0, 85)."Read More..."; // You can edit this line too
or this:
$announcement['message'] = substr($announcement['message'], 0, 85)."Read More"; // You can edit this line too

This is wonderful, but is there any way to preserve the formatting? For example, if I use any font tags and the font tag isn't closed before the character cut-off number is reached, the opening part of the tag will be displayed on the portal.
So, for example... on the forum it looks something like this:
This is just a test. I am testing. Did you hear about the woman who went to Australia to film a movie about drop bears?
But on the portal it looks something like this:
[size=x-small]This is just a test. I am testing. Did you hear about the woman who went...
