Hello guys..

I did not know where to post this so, I'm posting it here (mods : please move to correct section)

My first plugin (Actually does) :

• Initial release :
  • Replaces ul text In posts by the title of the url
  • Appends the text given by the user at the end of title
  • If link is a direct download link, or a link without a title, it presents the user's text as the text of the url
• Need to add :
  • An ACP setting to set the board domain name ONLY and also, to set if the title needs to be appended by the user's text
  • I need someone to guide me through this ACP thing (sorry.. a noob here :))
• Future plans :
  • A rapidshare/megaupload/any file sharing link checker along with "title as text"
  • Also, to return the error finding the url if any (like 500,404 etc.,)

Any experienced mod authors please correct me and guide me :)

For the ACP setting, basically in the _install function you add the setting into the settings table and then call rebuild_settings();

then in in _uninstall you remove the settings.

i'm not getting a word that you are saying. !!

You should download one of my plugins and look at the plugin file (file that goes in inc/plugins). That should get you on the right track.

Nice, But I wont be needing it, But Congrats for your first plugin, It will be usefull for many where users post links to malware etc

(I dont allow links on my forum, they get locked out)

This would get alot of attention once you make it a link checker, there'll be more warez forums run with MyBB which is great since warez forums get a lot of exposure
