Hm. This is strange.

I seem unable to log in to my version of MyBB. It was working perfectly earlier, but now it won't let me log in. I have checked on google and it said to CHMOD settings.pgp to 666 - so I have, but to no effect. It then said to delete settings.php so I did. No effect.

Any help with this would be appreciated. Right now, I'm going to have to make a new account >.>

That's not good..
Hope you have a backup, because you are going to need to upload it again.
Also, what do you mean won't let you login? Error message? Or won't keep you logged in?

Yeah, I had a backup which I uploaded again (I have back-ups of everything)

I mean that it allows me to log in, but when it redirects me to where I was, I'm logged out again.

Sounds like a cookie issue. :P
Does it do the same thing for the admin control panel??

Yeah definitely cookies. You'll probably have to access the database directly to change it.

Sometimes. I've checked the cookie path etc and it's all fine.

Hm. Not sure how to do that. I've contacted the support at my hosting company so hopefully they'll be able to help.

BTW, you can delete settings.php. It will automatically regenerate when you change a setting in the ACP.

Yeah, that's what they said when I was searching Google. Oh well, I just backed everything up and installed MyBB again. It's working mostly fine - apart from a few SQL errors with certain mods.

I think that was a cookie problem, but now that you've deleted settings.php, you'll have to make another account.
