I don't get what this does?

It's for point based contests on forums such as referrals, who has the most posts etc. however, this seems to be manual so you'll have to manually update it rather than automatically doing so from what others have said. There was a demo but it seems to be down :(

Could you provide us with some screen shots detailing what the interface looks like from both the ACP and the forum index? And also, somebody stated that you have to change it manually? What's the fun in it honestly?

Isn't this MyBBSource.COM and not MyBBSource.net since I've clicked the link and it doesn't work? If its .COM then its sad that you don't know your own websites link (yeah, I know, misstyped )
