I uploaded the files two times. They are in the correct spot.

i've ran this locally many times, always has installed correctly, i aggree with Nckman that your not running the latest of mybb

It is. When I got MyBB, it was 1.4. But I'll see what I can do.

After reinstalling, I still cannot get it to work. I get the same error.

what version of php and mysql (if you are using that type of database) are you running
