I belive that you can specify where the links link to, not sure though.

I cannot belive I've missed out this modification

A section will appear on the left section of the acp with your custom links.
The links can be to internal or external pages. They don't have to be forum specific.

Sorry...just to clarify. It will create a tab in the top menu of the acp. Once you add your links, they will then appear on the left.
