This looks like something I have been wanting and will allow me to switch from SMF. I can't wait to try it out.

Are the invitation codes stored in the DB so that an external application can create the invite code and the plugin just validates them?

To fix the error in the Admin CP:

1. Upload all files as normaly
2. Go to admin->modules
3. Pickup inviteonly.php and drag it into config folder
4. You're done

So, basicly all you need to do is to move inviteonly.php from admin->modules to admin->modules->config and it should work just fine
