Switching to MyBB from SMF
I'm currently evaluating MyBB and considering moving from SMF. I'm quite happy with the ease of install and transfer of data to MyBB.

Some of the outstanding issues seem like they can be resolved by settings in the ACP. Others may be easily changed with a plugin.

I was wondering how many of you switched from SMF. If you did switch, are you full satisfied with MyBB and is there anything you miss from SMF (or other forum software)?

RE: Switching to MyBB from SMF
I've switched from vBulletin and I must say that only add-on that I'm missing is one plugin that shows all activity of the user in bars on the post bit (Longentivity, Activity...can't remember others). Otherwise I'm very satisfied with MyBB and its ease with plugins

Well...I got my vBulletin from a friend, so I didn't have to pay for it in the first place

... that's nice. I still won't risk getting caught though.

RE: Switching to MyBB from SMF
He means downloading it without paying. vBulletin is not free software, and downloading it free would be illegal.
vBulletin is £100, and IPB is £200! On the other hand MyBB is better, it has great mods/plug-ins and themes, and most of all it's absolutely free! So who needs Invasion Power Boards and vBulletin?
