I know that this question sounds silly, but I really can't find a way to change the forum theme. I've correctly installed it and configured so that only Administrators would be able to use it (since its in development), but I can't find the option in User CP to change the default theme to the one I want to.

Help will be repayed with 20MyBux!

Click on Templates & Style -> Themes.

You will see list of themes there. Either click on Green arrow next to theme name to make it default or use options menu and click on set as default.

could not find gui tutorial quickly, but if this does not help, i shall search and post it in detail..

I was looking to change theme in User CP. I've figured out where it was hiding

Is this your first time with MyBB? Because to change the default theme, all you have to do is click "Templates & Styles" button in Admin CP, and click the green arrow of the theme you want to be primary. Unless you mean on the bottom, the theme selector?

Yes, its my first time with MyBB and I don't have theme selector on the bottom. Users have it in their User CP. I've found it, no help needed anymore! Thanks anyway Hero
