I have tried to install MyCredits yesterday with the help of Dalton's tutorial (Quite helpful by the way), but I haven't succeeded doing one step, the step four. I have even tried to skip that one and go to step five, but I couldn't do it either. Then I realized something, it doesn't matter which template I choose, I can't edit it! I can change the title, I can change the template set, but I can't change the actual code. And just to make this even better, I accidentally deleted the postbit_author_user template .

I can't even select anything on the code area, even less edit it.

Please I could use some help on this, is it a problem on the CHMOD, my browser (I use firefox, have tried win IE and I have the same problem), or something else?

This is kinda urgent because I'm going to Azores soon and I don't have internet there (nightmare I know ), and a friend of mine is going to take care of the forum for a while, and he kinda flips out when problems happen, and of course, it won't allow me to modify other codes if I have to.

Please, any kind of help would be great, thanks.

I attached a picture of how the code appears to me (in case it appears differently to me than to you guys) This isn't actually the postbit_author_user cause as I said I deleted it (although I didn't want to ).

To get it back, I believe if you just reupload the theme it should come back. Of course you'd lose any changes to it.. as for your problem..
Hmm.. can't edit the files? That's really strange.. never heard of that.. are you the root admin?

What browser are you using? Because I know Google Chrome has issues with the template edit code...

He mentioned he uses Firefox, and he tried with IE but no luck. Strange thing is, I've never heard of this before.. I'll go searching on the MyBB Forums..

Yeah, I use Firefox, and even tried Internet Explorer

Thanks for the quick help, I'll keep looking for the solution, but so far, I seem to be the only one having this problem...

EDIT: Only thing I can come up with is that it's a problem with your browser. Your using FF3 you said? Try... IE 8. (BETA..) or Opera. Also, if you'd like you could set my up a admin account for now and see if I have the same problem. (P.M. details if you do. And you don't have to worry about me messing with stuff/deleting stuff. )

EDIT AGAIN: Seems if you disable javascript in your browser it should work..

Thanks for the offer, if I don't find another solution, maybe i'll take it

Disabled it and still doesn't work

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Could anyone tell me the postbit_author_user template code? Cause I accidentally deleted it, and it would be a bummer have to reinstall the whole thing.
