Does it simply take credits away from the person downloading the attachment, or does it actually give the credits to the person who posted the attachment?

If it's the second one, you might want to set a little 'tax' so credits don't transfer so easily. Same with simply sending credits to other users, a little percentage gets deducted.

It just takes away but giving it to the guy who posted it is a good idea

I am guessing he is taking a breather from this since it was one of those things that actually made math become an important subject to take while getting a major in just about any computer area. Lol I hate those kinds of problems that pop up in coding. >.<

Yeah, that's exactly why they teach mathematics for computer courses, because the math problems get you too try and think through things. In other words, your still working it out in your head on different ways to complete this objective.
