I could think of many reasons. Lets say for 1 you post personal stuff and want the url to remain private. Or you post cracked or hacked stuff. Or you have techniques that are not widely known and therefor dont want the world to find out. I actually included a hidden technique on this very thread that i would not like the world to know about.
