Any noticeable changes?...

It feels like things have slowed down a bit... but maybe it's just my imagination.

Seems fine to me.. IF it did slow down it's hardly noticeable.

Most people just post when they need something. I'm trying to come up with something to change that.

It does seem the site has gotten less traffic since the new design. I really wouldn't pinpoint this on that though, as traffic here as come and come through its existence. As long as there are mods, themes, and tutorials for members to download and view, then I think there shouldn't be much to worry about it.

A great general chat forum

This is what I was thinking as well. It's like calling grandma - You only call her when you want something..

I think I know what part of the issue is... honestly. It's the fact that users can download without being very active here. Maybe set that up so they need like 30-50 posts - give em a challenge, in a sense. You have some very high quality work here and people should have to do work to get it also.

Also, maybe set up some ad zones whereas users who haven't crossed the 30 posts will see a small number of ads, and after getting to 30 posts they go away...

Just my opinion right out of the gate - Take with a grain of salt...

30-50 is a lot. And most people wouldn't want to, they'd care less and try to get the mods another way..
