Nick, here on MyBBSource, is it ok for me to help out other members even if it involves editing plugin files?... I don't want to be handing out information without permission. I notice you don't have any specific rule in your read me about modding, and the like, but I'm still going to ask to be clear in case I overlooked something (which has been quite often lately).

Yeah you sure can help them modify it themselves. The only thing I don't want is people distributing modified files.

So, for instance if you say

open staffapp.php and find X, remove blah, then that's fine.

Ok.. cool. Not planning to distribute... Just help people make adjustments if they come up. Sometimes I know the answer and no one else is around... Sometimes :)
