I'd say MyShoutbox is the best as it automatically updates without reloading the entire page, however I don't use it as I found it difficult to tweak and in my opinion aesthetically there were better looking ones out there.

MyShoutbox is the best one i've been using so fart. Easy to use and customizable.

ChangUonDyU is the best.Although it could have few more features like edit or delete,but it is still the best chat box I have ever used on mybb.

Please don't use any shoutbox, atleast in this moment.
WHY?
Because a IT meeting in Vietnam, hold by FPT, was found a bug in every shoutbox. Some kind of back door or something else like that, well, they easy take control the rest of website.

all the shoutbox that mybb have relased are not so good as far as i seen them no one is good :/

i think mybb should made a good shoutbox like ipb have :/

I wouldn't recommend using shoutbox on forums, it kind of makes forums... less active, because people prefer to post in shoutboxes.
Now, if you really want one, I'd go for MyShoutbox.
