I have noticed MyBB doesn't have a video gallery and this is something I think would be neat to have.

There is already a picture gallery called ezGallery and that has been a big hit, but there has only been one stand alone video gallery and that had a major exploit and its no longer available.

I think a video gallery would be nice :L

What do you mean by video gallery? A gallery with user uploaded videos or with videos from YouTube, Metacafe etc.

Anyway, I think you mean user uploaded videos.

Yeah, I need to make a plugin like this for a client anyway, so I may release it if he allows me. What kind of support are you wanting? I already plan ratings, user uploading, online embedding and commenting.

The option to embed from Youtube and upload is a must.

He has requested that I use ffmpeg for him, but I probably wouldn't include this as most people don't have access to it.

Also, you can achieve something similar using xthreads for only embedding (possibly even uploading, idk)

I didn't think about FFMPEG and all the codecs and modules for that.

Problem is, without ffmpeg, most flash video players only allow mp4/flv - unless I use HTML5 (in which case, not every video will work in every browser).

OK, Here is my opinion then, don't allow people to upload them, Just embed from Youtube
