To restrict certain MyCodes so that only a select few usergroups can sue them?

For instance, I've made a MyCode that creates a specially formatted staff message appear in a post. However, I want to make sure this MyCode can't be used and abused by an average member.

Is it possible? If so, how?

It isn't possible without a plugin, which I don't think anyone has made yet....sorry

You could use custom moderator tools. One of those posts messages...

A plugin named "Staff Edit" or "Mod Edit" (I`m unsure about uts name) as i know by LeX- will lock the post afther a mod edits it so they wouldn`t be able to remove the message but about the "specified usergroup can use this MyCode" I`m very unsure and I think it is imposible ... if even Nickam can`t (or don`t want) to do this... :)
I think there are no hooks in mycode system :)
