Mybb 1.4, your thoughts
So what's everybody's thoughts on Mybb 1.4, now that it is officially released?
Personally, I think it's great. The mybb community was dead, because people were just waiting for 1.4. Now that's it out, I've seen 5 awesome mods already released.

Well i personally love MyBB as a whole whether its 1.2 or 1.4 .. Now 1.4 have all features which are required by people and are built in like the warning system. For huge boards like i have these things are required.
Anyway MyBB 1.4 is excellent product in open source market. :)

The warning system built in is a great addition to 1.4. They are catching up to vbulletin, if not already there.

MyBB 1.2 was great but there were still a few features in IPB and vBulletin that it couldn't compare to without serious (sometimes faulty) plugins.
1.4 has caught up with the commercial suites now and is ready to take over completely with 1.6 in 2010! As I'm sure you seen around, 1.4 is what is going to make MyBB BIG!

My thoughts on Mybb 1.4 are that I believe it is currently the best free package available at this point of time, it offers a lot of features over the 1.2.x versions of Mybb and over other free software as well.
It kind of has an IPB/VB feel to it even though it is still missing very few features of commercial board software. Mybb originally made me decide to ditch Phpbb and make a switch for the better.

MyBB 1.4 is by far the greatest forum software I've ever used. (I've used phpBB3/SMF (2.0 sucks btw.))
Can't wait for the plugins to get transferred over.
