Ok, this one is personal. I simply want an avatar that is VERY professional looking that says Nickman. If anyone has some free time, I would really appreciate it.

I'm not a pro, but since no one else was jumping on it. I made a few since I couldn't decide which looked best.

Oh and since none are pro, someone else should still try this.

It isnt transparent either, erm if you want to use it, but dont like the white against whatever background surface it is on i could add a slight border to it 0.0?

Well, I just need oooone answer, what colors? O.o

I can change any colour of text or background. Alignment can also be changed. These were made in button shop! :p

Wow, I really like those polar. Especially number 3. How about centered and at the bottom?

Edit: It is centered :P But what do you think about a black outline around the letters?

Sure! Glad you like them. I will work on that now :p

EDIT: Unfortunately it is not possible inside the program or anywhere else to create a black outline around the text because it will make it look scruffy. Instead I have used the function outline text. This just turns the text into an outline. So I have changed the text colour to black and the shadow behind it to white so it looks like it is white text with a black outline. See attachment.

If not I can always make the shadow in a different position on the original one. Sorry I couldn't achieve the black outline you meant :p

Dam i need to find some tutorials for GIMP, whenever i try add text to my graphics they look tackey, the text in yours looks awesome! Good job
