It looks like this:

You would have to edit the CSS to size 100% instead of a fixed pixel number. You may also need to set the image size to 100% in the header tmeplate. But, setting images for a liquid layout means stratching the image for higher resolutions, or shrinking the width for low resolutions and is usually not a good idea, unless there is no text or imagery that would look if it were stretched or shrunk horizontally!

Yeah it doesnt do anything.

Then it's got to be stuck inside another div or a table with a fixed width. Check the global and header templates.
