Hey Nickman,

First of all, wonderful plugin. What I was wondering is if it'd be possible for you to add a feature allowing those who moderate the blogs to also suspend them (any user, including the creator trying to view the blog would be presented with a message informing them that the blog is suspended, and that the owner needs to contact the forum administration).

Say someone wants to make blogs a premium feature, a user who hasn't renewed his/her subscription won't really be affected much if they're "not allowed to create one", considering it's already made. Rather than delete the blog, administrators should be able to give users a chance to pay up, you know? Also, obviously, suspending blogs does have disciplinary usage too, depending on the administration, site and user behavior at hand.

In the forum for myblog I also add some requests, perhaps its better that I also add them here:


- setup background color or image
- showing your buddies in your blog (after clicking see the blog of the buddie) (see image http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/4791/blogq.jpg)
- showing your avater in the blog
- let people add a blog banner
- date and time somebody make blog entry or comment.
- there is a button to add a youtube video
- allowing html in blog post so people can use background music

All good ideas

I think adding that avatar is something you can do your self by adding {$post['useravatar']} into the page and writing a new MyBB code for background music and there are at least 5 plugins that will allow user to post videos just by pasting the URL and the plugin takes care of the rest.

I am very wary about allowing members to use HTML or Flash because of the security risk involved but that's just me

Perhaps an enable/disable feature would help (and of course, by default should be disabled). Also this feature could be suitable just for admins or whichever group you want to be able to post HTML, so a feature to set which GIDs are able to post HTML would be great.

I also agree with all of the other suggestions. The first one is actually very cool, and maybe turning the idea into something more complex. Like, Nickman could ask permission to $imon to use his profiledesign plugin, but this time developed for MyBlogs only.
