I'm willing to do a banner exchange I have 468x60px ad space available, if anyone is interested!

The ads will appear at the top of every page. Two ads are displayed at the top of each page. If we have more than two people who want to do an ad exchange the ads will be put into a cycle
Hope I get some offers!

MyTube (a youtube module for my profile template)

This is my first ever plugin, so don't be too harsh. Basically, it's a youtube module for my custom profiles template. The youtube module is sized to fit in the sidebar in my template mod, but it can be used with the usual profile template by simply placing {$mytube} where you want it to appear.

This plugin isn't quite as fancy as Nicman's ProfTube plugin (I don't have as much experience though) although the settings aren't flushed every time you update your profile and it works with my custom templates.

Usage

After activating MyTube, you must edit your member_profile template and add {$mytube} below the <!-- End Ministats --> (or wherever else you want it).

To use MyTube, you must add the Youtube Video ID to your profile. The video ID is anything after the

Code:

watch?v=

in a youtube URL. Just enter the ID in the profile field that is added to your User CP and your video should appear

It would be really cool if someone could make this for me. What I want is a plugin that would allow me to set a playlist.com player in the index page, but have it set up to where each separate user can create their own playlist and have it display in a default location on the index page when they log in.

If that isn't possible, would it be possible to make a switcher so that I could create multiple playlists and just put them into a drop-down menu so that the user could pick which playlist they wanted to listen to?

I'd imagine it'd be similar to the theme switcher mod, just using the playlist.com player instead.

This is kind of a loose concept for me, I'm flexible. If it's easier to do it through the UCP rather than on the index page, go for it.

How to Evaluate the Best R4 Card For Your Game System.

Unknown to most owners of a Nintendo DS, however, is the fact that the unit itself has the ability to be much more than simply a video game console. Using an R4 adapter card, "homebrew" programs can be downloaded onto the software which will allow you to access a number of different types of media through the DS. You will be able to convert downloaded movies and TV shows into a format that works on your DS, helping you to keep up with your friends in the latest shows and movies. Mp3 files can be loaded onto the R4 card and used to listen to music from the DS, eliminating the need to carry a special mp3 player around whenever you wish to listen to your favorite songs while on the go.

Homebrew programs can be downloaded to an R4DS card that will give you the ability to browse the Internet wherever a Wi-Fi connection can be established. Some programmers will even take the opportunity to use the R4DS programming to write their own original content video games to allow users the chance to have a new type of playing experience at their fingertips. These programs will give any DS owner the chance to explore even more types of media all through the comfort of their familiar DS console.

You'll need to take the time to consider, however, that R4 cards come in many different shapes and sizes. Not every R4 card is compatible with all of the DS models on the market and you'll want to make sure that you are going to make a good purchase. There are two basic types of Nintendo DS on the market, the original DS model and the DS Lite. Virtually all models of an R4DS card will work on these two styles of console. The newest version of this system is the DS-i model and one of these consoles includes advanced technology.

This will result in the inability for many R4DS cards to work with the DS-i. If you have one of these updated models, you will want to look for an advanced R4 card which has the technical capabilities to be compatible with this updated technology. One major benefit, though, is the fact that nearly all of the R4 cards which are compliant with the new DS-i model are also backwards compatible, making them work with the original DS and DS Lite units. If you are looking for a new R4DS card and you want to find one which is sure to work with any style of DS, you may want to look for a card which is compliant with all DS styles, as this will ensure success no matter what type of Nintendo DS you are using.

The R4 card that you use within a Nintendo DS will only work if it is compatible with the model. Visit NDS-Gear to compare R4DS cards with DS models and find the accessory which will be right for you.

Golf Improvement - When to Take Golf Swing Lessons .

The best investment you can make in your game is lessons. Even more than your equipment. What good is a new driver if you can't get the ball in the fairway with it? No matter what level you play at, lessons will help you play better. The foundation of good golf is the right knowledge, and lessons are where you go to get it.Let's say you're just beginning too play. Golf looks so simple. All you have to do is put down a ball, pick up a club, and swing away. It is that simple until you try it. This is the critical point. The first impressions you have of the golf swing will be lasting ones. If they're wrong, they will be a burden for the rest of your golfing career. If they're right, they will be principles you can rely on, well, for the rest of your golfing career.

The place you learn to swing a club the right way is from a professional. You'll learn the absolute necessities of the right grip and the right setup. When the preliminaries are rock solid, the swing that follows already has a head start at being a good one.Next you'll learn the basic movements of the swing so you can get the ball in the air and have it go straight. Once you've learned how to do that, you're a golfer! From there it's just a matter of being able to do it every time--something, but the way, even the best haven't figured out, but that's the allure of the game. Where's the fun if you could be perfect in six months?

If you already know how to play, chances are you have shots that go straight most of the time, but every now and then a wild one comes out of nowhere. Actually, it doesn't come out of nowhere. It comes from somewhere, but you don't know where. You're always on the edge of hitting it and most of the time you get away with it.Your pro knows. Your pro will spot in five minutes what it could take you six months, if ever, to figure out by yourself. If you have a shot that keeps ruining your chance to shoot a good score, get a lesson! Find out what's causing it and take it out of play.

Oscar's 'new math': How best picture will be picked.

Oscar oddsmakers have "The Hurt Locker" and "Avatar" in a virtual dead heat for best picture. So it's a sure bet that one of them will win on Sunday, right? Not necessarily.Voting for best picture – and tabulating those votes – isn't a simple case of majority rule. For one thing, with 10 nominees this year, it's more likely than ever that no film will receive 50 percent-plus-one of the vote: If "Avatar" and "Hurt Locker" are as close as believed, even if the other eight nominees combined drew, say, just 15 percent of the votes, that likely would be enough to keep either of the favorites from reaching 50 percent.
In the past, that wouldn't have mattered: the top vote-getter would take the trophy, end of story.
But this year, the Academy changed the script. When it expanded the best picture category from five nominees to 10, it also changed the voting system from a plurality (most votes wins) to something that sounds like a communicable disease – STV. It actually stands for the Single Transferable Vote system, and it's also known as Instant Runoff, Preferential Voting or Alternative Voting.Basically, instead of just selecting a favorite, each voter ranks all 10 nominees. The ballots are separated into 10 groups: those with "Avatar" No. 1 in one group, those with "Hurt Locker" as the top pick in another, and so forth. Then, if no film has a majority of No. 1 votes, the system goes to work.Let's say, for argument's sake, that "A Serious Man" receives the fewest No. 1 votes. (Sorry, Joel and Ethan.) That film would be knocked out, and the ballots in that pile would be redistributed among the remaining nominees, based on those ballots' second choices. If that doesn't produce a film with a majority, the process is repeated with the No. 9 movie, and so forth.

Some people see this system as favoring "Hurt Locker." They reason is that even people who didn't love the war drama respect it as a well-made film, while people who disliked "Avatar" really hated it, because they disagree with one of its perceived messages, or they just don't think a special-effects-heavy film should win best picture. So while many people who don't rate "Hurt Locker" first might put it second or third, voters who don't pick "Avatar" to win might rank it at or near the bottom. See the problem with handicapping a 10-nominee race under these rules? You have to predict not only voters' first choices, but how strategic they'll be filling out the rest of the ballot. I think the system could open the door for a film that, while not many think of it as a best picture, just about everyone loved – a film like "Up." By the way, you may not have heard of this system before, but it's been around a while. In fact, the Academy has long used it to choose the best picture nominees. It's also gaining a foothold in politics: it's been used or is set to be used in some 15 cities and states, including Memphis, Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Burlington, Vermont, as well as in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and other countries. Supporters say it eliminates the expense of runoff elections, and ensures the winner has a mandate from a majority.
